1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Stamp Prep ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Stamp Prep provides online engineering exam preparation tools, including practice questions, study resources, and exam simulation software for the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) and Professional Engineer (PE) exams.

Our content is original and developed independently. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES). NCEES® is a registered trademark of NCEES.

3. User Accounts

To access the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Providing accurate and current information
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Payment and Subscriptions

Stamp Prep offers both free and paid subscription plans. Payment processing is handled securely through Stripe, Inc.

  • Recurring subscriptions: Billed automatically at the start of each billing period (monthly or annually) until canceled.
  • One-time purchases: Grant access for a fixed period (3 months, 6 months, etc.) with no automatic renewal.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel recurring subscriptions at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds: We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase. Contact support@stampprep.com to request a refund.
  • Price changes: We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without permission
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or compromise the security of the Service
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service

6. Intellectual Property

All content on Stamp Prep, including questions, explanations, software, and design, is the property of Stamp Prep and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without written permission.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT USE OF THE SERVICE WILL RESULT IN PASSING ANY EXAM. Your exam performance depends on many factors outside our control.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STAMP PREP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, EXAM FAILURE, OR DATA LOSS.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

At Stamp Prep, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account Information: Name, email address, and password (encrypted)
  • Performance Data: Your answers to practice questions, exam scores, progress tracking, and study statistics
  • Payment Information: Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card details.
  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, device information, and browser type
  • Communications: Messages you send to our support team

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and improve the Service
  • Track your study progress and performance
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Send important updates about your account or the Service
  • Respond to support requests
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve our content and features
  • Prevent fraud and ensure security

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Stamp Prep:

  • Supabase: Authentication and database hosting (your account and performance data)
  • Stripe: Payment processing for subscriptions and purchases
  • Vercel: Hosting and infrastructure
  • Resend: Transactional email delivery

These services may have access to your information as necessary to perform their functions, but are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

We may share your information only in the following cases:

  • With service providers who help us operate the Service (as listed above)
  • If required by law or to respond to legal process
  • To protect our rights, safety, or property, or that of our users
  • In connection with a business transfer (e.g., merger, acquisition)

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Encrypted password storage
  • Secure authentication via Supabase
  • Regular security audits

However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction: Update or correct your account information at any time
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing support@stampprep.com
  • Data Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format
  • Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing emails (account-related emails may still be sent)

8. Data Retention

We retain your account information and performance data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

9. Cookies and Tracking

  • Remember your preferences
  • Analyze site usage and performance

You can control cookie settings in your browser, but disabling cookies may limit functionality.
